Default samsung resolution issue

i own a samsung t-220 monitor. the display works fine. but somehow, it wont let me set the resolution at full capacity (1680 x 1050 ).

as of now the maximum resolution im able to work at is 1600 x 1200

i dont know whats going on, im tired of googling solutions, the most i could get from other tech forums was that it has something to do with EDID.

any help or participation is much appreciated.

It will just be rescaling the image to the native resolution of the screen no matter what you do.
