since I'm currently with a 2-channel set up, I'm looking into the AVI Labratory Series Integrated Amp. It's got power like you wouldn't believe.

Yeah. I think the amplification is even better than the Linn Klimax Twin power amp. I say that with having heard both this AVI and the Klimax Twin power a pair of Sonus Faber Amati Anniversarios.

As much as I do like the Sonus Fabers... I don't know if I could justify the cash for the Amati's after the New Cremona M's really give them a run for their money.

But I think I'll just save up and get some Burmester B 100's

Quite Frankly I am puzzled! You just want a
50k speaker??!! Hahaha!I have not had the previledge of listening to the B100.I know for a fact that they make world class products from their speakers to their CDPs but all kidding aside, I was able to AB the similarly priced Burmester B25 vs my current C2s and needleas to say there was no comparison with the C2s coming out on top on every level.

We have the b25's at OA hooked up with the 001 CD player, 911 MK3 Power amp, and 011 Pre-amp.. and I was very, very impressed. I have yet to hear the Dynaudio's so I can't make a comparison.. but The more I listen to the Burmester stuff the more I get infatuated with it. Now I just need to hit the Megamillions...

The B25 is very flambouyant and has that fun factor vs smooth and natural for the Dyns. Pick your poison

What were the other components were used when you listened to the B25s? I didn't get that at all. I found it to be very detailed, great bass extension. The sound stage was a bit limited, but I believe that is mostly to the spot they are located at is limited on space.

Well compared to the C2s, the B25 were flamboyant and I agree that the soundstage is limited but it is a small floor stander

We used: Burmester 001 CDP, 011 pre, 948 Power conditioner, 911 amp,Naim Supernait, CD5x, Flatcap X. Naim Hi Line DIN to DIN interconnects(for the Naim stack only), Valhalla Speaker wires, IC and power cords. Not bad huh??

What we found out was that the Naim stack came to within 80-85% of the capability of the Burmesters but at 1/4 the $ and of course the C2s were just singing marvelously!

Were the Vahalla IC's balanced or RCA? We found the burmester gear sounded better with their own balanced cords than the Odins with RCS termination. The sound stage was limited I feel because we have a limited space to really place them. After hear some of the bookshelves we carry, for example the AVI Neutron IV's, I've come to learn that placement of the speaker is more key to sound stage than size of the speaker.

I don't know if my dealer used balanced ICs or not. I didn't really care because I actually auditioned for the C2s and the Naim gear when i was there and hearing all the Burmesters were just an added treat If I had all the money in the world, I would no doubt get the Burmester but for my current state, the Naim Supernait and Flatcap XS(replaced the Flatcap X) in addition to the rest of my gear will be AWESOME!!!!

Indeed. By no means is your gear slouching. Plus this hobby is so subjective. But if I hit the mega millions.. you better believe I'm going crazy with the systems.
