Denon AVR-1708 help needed - Blu-ray Forum

Well I'm not sure what happened but all of a sudden my receiver has a stuttering sound when using optical inputs. I've tried other cables, other sources, etc. but nothing helps. The manual says that I can do a microprocessor reset by pressing Power, Speaker A, and Speaker B at the same time for a few seconds but that doesn't seen to even do anything like it should. Any advice?
