Gladiator Sapphire Serirs not playing on my PS3 Slim - Blu-ray Forum

Anyone here having this problem with their PS3 Slim, I bought Gladiator and Braveheart the Sapphire Series, the Braveheart plays, but the Gladiator will not. I did the 3.01 update, but I'm still having issues, can anyone help

Delete the data file and see if that helps.

I had the same problem with the older PS3 but the fix should be the same.
This fix came from stumlad so he gets the kuddos

Go to your cross bar and.....

"Go into your bd data folder and delete the gladiator and braveheart entries and try again. I had a similar issue with Braveheart and that fixed it.. it was originally getting stuck on the forced preview trailers (screen stayed black). This happened after the initial load screen."

Let me know if it works

Both movies are causing similar problems when viewing them on a computer with PowerDVD (need to creat a new local storage folder in settings to play either movie).

Okay, I've been having this problem. My setup is a Sony 46V5100, PS3 Slim, Sony HTCT100 Soundbar (think that's the right model #), Xbox 360 Elite. The PS3 and 360 use the HDMI in on the soundbar and the soundbar has HDMI out to the television. The 360 works beautifully, no problems so far. Now here is the part I'm having trouble with.

I insert Killzone 2, get a white screen and then my info pane on the television pops up with HDMI, then the game starts just fine. Blu-Ray movie on the other hand, so far I've tried The Last Waltz and Waiting start with no white screen, but I get the three icons, play arrow bottom left, triangle bottom right and then it freezes and I have to turn it off.

Movie Casino, I get one second of audio that sounds like the Universal theme with the planet from afar. Then nothing. Other times it won't even start. I'm fairly new to this, but I click on the folder BD Data Utility, There is no data. From there I push triangle to open the options and delete the folder.

Am I trying to browse the folder the wrong way? Any help would be greatly appreciated. You don't think it's the Bravia Sync feature do you?

anyone have an idea on what exactly causes this, sure this fix works but its not a fix if you have to do it over and over.

Oh and I will add, I've had this for about three weeks and have watched a total of three movies, I don't think I even finished all of them, and it's doing this.

Hi all,
Having an issue and hoping someone can help! I recently picked up Gladiator from Amazon and when the disc arrived, my PS3 would not play it. I tried it in my PC too and the disc loaded but when the movie started the picture was very blocky and started skipping scenes. I figured this was an issue with the disc so returned it to Amazon.. Got my replacement today and the exact same issue is happening! Tried deleting the local data on both machines but with no joy. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
