What do you want your PS button to do? - Blu-ray Forum

Me, I have said it b4 but I want this:

Push PS button and this pops up:

Quit Game > To XMB

Reassign the Controller > Select Controller

Adjust Screen Settings > Adjust Screen

Select Music > Music Folders > Select Track

Inbox > Inbox Messages

Sent > Sent Messages

Create Message > Create Message > Select (up to 12) Buddy(s) to send to

Start new chat > Buddy List

Buddy List > Buddy List

Turn off System
Turn off controller

Or at least re-open the cool thread.

Seriously though, I really don't mind if the PS button doesn't do much. When I am ready to quit playing and turn off my system, I don't want to have to scroll through 10 or 15 options, but that's just me.

I agree as long as they have the quit game and shut off system as the first options.

It'd be cool to have option of adding whatever available choices you wanted to that menu. Speaking of that button... how come in all the original advertisements, they showed that button lighting up orange? Mine never has... was that just an idea that never actually materialized?

The controllers used with development kits light up when being charged. That didn't make it to the production version but people who have added there own says the circuitry is all there, they just add the LED.

That's cool, but I would also like for a PS button to show up on a guitar before Oct.

They should of fitted the ps3 with a 4 disk holder and u can use the PS bottun to switch to whatever cd you want to play, now that is lazyness to the extream.

I would like to see the Sony PS button crush the Staples Easy button in a celebrity death match challenge.

All kidding aside, it would be nice if the PS button lit up when powered on.

Why does Sony make it appear orange and lit up in all of Sony's promotional print ads?

Maybe in a future model. Anyway, probably would be an unnecessary battery drain since there are LEDs on the front.

i want to have the "turn off the system" option when in XMB just like in mid-game, have a "turn off system when controller charging complete" would be nice since it doesn't charge when off, and show more controller info than just battery level (like signal strength).

You just have to hold the button to get the full menu to appear when in the XMB.

I'd like this too, but also the option to power off completely once all downloads are complete.
