Default any of you do this like me?

I recently donated all my sd dvds that I have replaced with blu's to my wifes workout center. They were making care packages for the troops overseas. I had planned on selling them, but for the 2 or 3 bucks I would have gotten, I figured those guys and gals would probably enjoy them more.

Just curious.

That's a good idea. I don't have any at the moment, but this will definitely be the option I look for in the future.

That is a very nice idea. Donating them to the local libraries is also a very proactive use of unwanted DVDs.

I was actually thinking of trying to start something locally for people to donate them and then finding a way to ship them out.

My DVD collection is rather small as I didn't start collecting movies like this until I started buying Blu-Rays, but I think that is a really nice thing to do.

Lovely idea if I were made of money. Its more important that I get a return to pay for the blu-ray. Thats just me though.

I used to give replaced DVDs to the gym, but since I moved, I've been giving some to the local thrift shop. I also gave a couple to goodwill, my parents, and some friends as well.

donating them to people out overseas in the Army is a good idea also. I did that for a while with one of my mother's friends. Movies that he liked and I didn't want anymore we sent to him.

That's a great idea I should have thought of it. Too bad all of my DVD's went to goodwill.

HMV was doing a special here where if you traded one DVD you got 7$ off specially marked blu-ray. I bought all the one's I needed and than gave the rest away when I found out that all the DVD's were going to hospitals, schools etc.

Needless to say I was happy and they were happy to receive over 60 dvds
