Good "Gary Oldman" BDs ... - Blu-ray Forum

Really a fantastic actor. I only own Dracula and the two Nolan Bat pictures starring Oldman.

Need a few suggestions for my next BD with Oldman. I know Leon doesn't hit stores till November. So whats good for the time being ?

Don't forget The Fifth Element, Hannibal, Air Force One, JFK, Harry Potter films, True Romance and the upcoming blu release of Leon!

If you wanna see a good early Gary Oldman performance, check out a little British gem called "The Firm", not to be confuesd with the Tom Cruise movie of the same name. It's about soccer hooligans and directed by the late Alan Clarke. it's currently out on DVD as part od a two-fer that also includes Clarke's short film "Elephant", but not blu-ray from Blue Underground.

He's my favorite actor, and his role in Leon is beyond anything! He's just so damn scary in that. Awesome!

Things that are already out that are must have's are Fifth Element, True Romance and Dracula (that you already have). Good transfers on all.

If you think he is a fantastic actor why do you need our help? Go to IMDB and get a list of his films (although if you think hes fantastic you should know what films hes in) and then buy the ones that have been release on blu. Why do you need our help?

I just saw fifth element few days ago. It was pretty good...In fact that made me realize how good Gary Oldman really is.

On a serious note...It IS a BD website isn't it ? PQ and AQ do come into consideration. And I just became aware of his versatile acting ability :P I know...a little late but what can I do ?

His best performances, IMO, are all portrayals of real life people. Lee Harvey Oswald in JFK, Joe Orton in prick Up Your Ears, and Sid Vicious in Sid & Nancy.

Although I've always held a soft spot for Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead.

Too bad only JFK is available on blu at this time.

The Unborn was a decent movie and looks/sounds good (Ken Brown gave it a 4 for both) and he's in it.

He's not the main character though.

Also, a list of his blu-ray movies

He didn't ask for a list of all his movies, he asked which ones where out on Blu that we think he did good in. And I would rather hear a forums opinions then a single website reviewer's opinion too......this is a movie website right?
