Not a chance, I have the Oppo and am very happy with it. I could take that money and save a little more and upgrade my front 3 instead (if I were in the market and had that money!)
I'm sure it's nice, but at that price, for my needs in this economy, it's not that nice. if one of you pick it up, please give us poor folks a review! |

It's clearly being based on the BDP-83 platform (same front panel and rear panel layouts, same feature set). Interesting that one front panel pic I've seen has a THX logo, suggesting that they've gotten it THX certified. I would presume that they've upgraded some parts in the analog path (similar to what modders are already doing with the BDP-83), but there's certainly a lot of cost there that's simply mark-up for Lexicon and their dealers.

I'm more than happy with my Oppo player. It seems the only thing I buy these days is vinyl. |

Looks like a rebadged Oppo. All the sensors, switches, jacks, display lines up with the Oppo unit. Offers the same universal playback, same decoder, hmmmm..... I thought someone on AVS mentioned Oppos was OEMing one for another brand. Guess this was it.

Haven't liked anything from Lexicon since the day's of the MC-1, the RT-10/20 players were a huge disappointment, and really not sure what to think about this, but we'll see. Hope to see a BD player from Classe' soon, now that will be expensive, but worth every penny! My .02

Denon DBP4010 This new player is significantly less than their flagship, but has the same video processor as the flagship, Oppo, Lexicon, and their AL24 processing which is pretty amazing. It will be a great player, and its cheaper than the lexicon too. Weight is 22 lbs by the way. |
