"CHUCK: the Movie"?? - Blu-ray Forum

A while ago I read that Chuck was going to be made into a movie -
I was searching for the article or any kind of info for the movie, but I can't find any.
I was in love with this show, but I stopped watching around season 3 as the commercials were becoming a bother, I do own the DVDs, so I'm starting to revisit them/begin watching again. I have no idea what's going on with the show. I have no idea if this real or fake, but if somebody has the article stating it is going to be made into a movie or never is, please post it! Thanks!

Same cast or different?

I'd love to see a movie made from this series. It'd have to be the same cast, though. I don't think it would work if they re-cast characters.

While I would love to see a movie of Chuck it will never happen. They can barely get people to watch it for free at home let alone leave the house and pay $12 at the theater. It would turn out to be worse than the Firefly/Serenity situation. Good movie but lousy box office receipts.

If they made it look interesting and had a great story, it could be a hit.

It won't happen. I think the talk started when they weren't sure if they were coming back a few years ago. But now that they're getting their ending, I doubt we ever see a movie continuation of the series.

Agreed. The show is getting an ending, so there's little motivation to do a movie.

As for the question about recasting if they did make a movie... That wouldn't be possible. You can't have anything Chuck related without the original cast.

Depends on the ending of the show but I love Chuck, I wish this wasn't the last season but yeah a movie may be cool.

It wouldn't be a continuation of the show, it'd be a reboot.

No need for it to happen. Especially right after the show ends. That would be a waste of time and money, and would alienate fans of the series. If Firefly can continue as a movie and not be rebooted, Chuck could, and should be treated the same way. But since a movie won't happen, it doesn't matter too much.
