Default Release Date(s)

Spotted two different release dates:
1) September 27th, 2016
2) October 18th, 2016

For all we know they might be waiting to see how well this does theatrically. The better it does, the October date would seem more likely.

UPC: 786936850888
Format: Blu-ray/DVD/Digital HD

No 3D listing on these sites as well.

This movie's getting torn apart from the non-critic reviews I've read. I'm not surprised they're not doing a 3D release.

The first one was far from a critical darling as well. These kinds of movies don't need critics.

It will make $50-60 million over the 4 day weekend plus tons of overseas money, it will be fine. DVD sales will be very high. Hard from a "Tank"

That's interesting. I'll be checking its box office results occasionally to get an idea, as to which of those 2 dates it could possibly be released on Blu-ray.

Saw this yesterday, it breaks no new ground but certainly isn't a 'bad' film.
It's a breathless, colourful adventure that is weirdly more stable than Burton's disjointed original.
I wouldn't rush to see it again but it's not the disaster many are saying.

If by $50-$60 you meant $35 on a $170 budget then yeah, its shaping up to be a huge success.

However, I do confess I don't think box office matters as long as the film finds an audience who gets some sort of meaning or value from it. So if Alice if your thing, then go for it.

(Maybe it even is a little gratifying to see a Disney produced film that doesn't burn down the box office, it's just nice to see them be humbled.)

It looks like we'll be getting Alice: Through The Looking Glass on Blu-ray Tuesday September 27th instead of on Tuesday October 18th, since it appears to be off to a slow start in the box office on its opening weekend unfortunately.

Could be a retail exclusive for the 3D Blu-Ray release just like the Kung Fu Panda 3 3D Blu-Ray.

I hope so! If not, let's cross our fingers for an international 3D release.

This is a Disney movie. Kung Fu Panda is Dreamworks. If Frozen can't get a 3D release, Alice won't be!

Zavvi has a steelbook for this and Jungle Book 3D, as well.

Not to discourage anyone from seeing it, but the looking glass that shows this as anything but a massive flop is just too cloudy.

The first film made a billion dollars. This one isn't even going to break even, after marketing costs. It landed with a resounding thud.

Doesn't mean anyone can't still enjoy it - but the facts of it's overall performance are facts.

Here's more facts - Worldwide: $237,342,684 as of the 19th.
Some 'thud'. And it's not finished yet...

Beyond that, I'm sure BR/DVD releases will have an even bigger "thud"!
I'll take this kind of flop any day....
