There are many different answers really, myself, I use a microfiber cloth (dry) and simply dust and wipe the TV down. I only use this cloth for the TV, to make sure nothing becomes attached to it and could scratch the TV screen when I wipe it down. Others use certain solutions......it is basically up to you what method you want to use.....

Be very careful about using any type of liquid. I used LCD cleaner and it ruined my old samsung LCD... I stick with a dedicated swiffer duster only now.

If you use LCD cleaner apply just a little on a microfiber cloth then wipe the liquid on the cloth on the screen then dry with a dry portion of the cloth to prevent streaking.[you should be fine if you follow those instructions]......I use a Radio Shack LCD cleaning kit btw.

Use either a microfiber cloth or the Swifter Duster. I use the latter.

I don't think its that serious. If I have dust on the screen I use the dust cloth that came with my LCD TV's. If it has fingerprints I use a moist paper towel and if it has wet streaks then i buff it out as if I am wiping wax off my car, just don't put that much pressure on the screen. I shipped my Samsung LN3253H one of the top gaming lcd's back then from Iraq back to the U.S and I used duct tape to seal the packing along with cardboard and plastic and it got so hot that some how the duct tape melted to my screen. I thought the TV was ruined so I got some oven cleaner and it took it right off when nothing else would work and the tv is just fine!!!

I've read that you shouldn't use paper towel on LCD tv's it can scratch the screen.

I just bought this today.. from GE.. LCD/Plasma TV Screen Cleaning System... tells me to:

1. Use Anti-Static Dust Brush to remove dirt particles.. then spray the cleaner 3-4 times (size pending) onto your micro fiber cloth.. wipe screen with light pressure.

I was actually getting on here tonight to ask how often I should do this... The kit seems really nice and I only payed 7 bucks for it at Big Lots.
