Default Christmas Lights

I need some help here.

I have a few strands of C9 lights, and two of them are the regular screw-in type, but the other uses lights that kind of slide into the holsters, and include a latch to lock them in place. The problem is on the slide-in set of lights, it's 3 separate series circuits, so the two missing lights are causing two circuits not to work, so only every third light comes on.

I can only find replacement bulbs for the screw-in kind, but not for the slide-in kind. Does anybody have any idea what I'm talking about, or know where to find replacements?

I can try to get a picture if it helps.

Are you talking about the tiny ones?

Nope, they're as big as the one on the right (the C9 size light) but have a base that's more like the little light in that picture (it's a plastic rectangular shape, with two pieces of copper stick out, so when it's inserted into the socket, it will allow the current to run in and out of it.

I got the lights 2 years ago at Target, and was lucky enough for them to all work still last year. But now Target no longer sells them (they're Philips brand) and only sell the replacements of the screw-in type.

I've never seen that type of bulb in that size before. Try contacting customer service for replacements, but if they that hard to find it will probably be easier/cheaper to just buy another C9 strand. Did you check the bulb by pulling it out for a bulb type identification?

Yeah, I figure it'll be easier to just get a new set of lights, but I don't feel like going through the hassle of taking them down/hanging them back up again this year.

I generally like climbing up 30 ft ladders, but the slope of my front yard, and the snow/ice on the roof make it a bit scarier than it should be, so I generally hang them weeks ahead of time, and don't turn them on until Dec.

I was going to take a picture of it, but I forgot that I went and put the spare bulb I found into one of the empty sockets, so now I just need 1 more bulb.

My suggestion would be to try and find a website that sells either just christmas lights or light bulbs in general and see if you can find some replacements. I'm sure they are out there somewhere.
