Default I need a great High Quality Center Speaker...

I have one of those small Polk center speakers that came with a 7.1 sattellite sets and when i watch my BRs i can't hear them talk loud enough. Especially hard to tell what there is a low tone voice or whispering. Everything else rear, front, etc..is ok but its kinda of annoying because when i turn it up to hear the center, everything else is to way to loud.

I have a Onkyo TX805 Receiver...

Can anyone recommend anything?

Thanks

If you only needed a center channel, I will say for a low price and was really nice one with the Onkyo 805 is a Klipsch C3 for $179.88

I had that center before they broke into my apt. and stole everything.

But,

If your going to upgrade your center you need to also timbre match with the Left and Right. When you do, you will be going way pass your $250 budget.

Have you ran the Audyssey to calibrate your speakers? What are the db levels for all of your speakers?

Since you already have a beautiful projector setup, and a beast 805 receiver, you should look into a nice sound system too

And if you're trying to stick with Polks, the Polk CS2 is a great center speaker and it's $120 shipped

+1!
If you get the Polk CS2 center just grab the matching towers( Polk Audio Monitor 60 or 70 ) & bookshelf speakers( Polk Audio Monitor 30 or 40 ) from newegg.com. The cherry colored versions are slightly cheaper than the black version.

for fronts
Monitor 60: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16882290017
Monitor 70: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16882290015

for rears
Monitor 30: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16882290094
Monitor 40: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16882290010

or

OWM3( these drop to $129.99/pr every Saturday, have a slim side profile, great for tight spots ): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16882290026

It's part of your receiver, If you still have the manual goto page 55.

If you don't have your manual, you can download this link TX-SR805_875 and still goto page 55
