speed by far. Alexander is nigh unwatchable. Speed is at least a fun action romp

if you want to go "what the ****?" a dozen times for a bit over three hours, get Alexander. For a decent action flick with a little less wtf, get Speed

Just watched Speed the other day. I forgot how great this movie was. Plus, your subwoofer will get a ridiculous workout.

While I certainly think Alexander, especially in its latest form, is a pretty good historical epic, Speed is by far the better film and the better Blu-Ray presentation. While Alexander has more features, Speed has an excellent DTS-HDMA track while Alexander has only a Dolby Digital track that while it sounds great, can't compete with how good a lossless track would have sounded.

I prefer "Speed" myself. I can hardly stand to watch "Alexander." As far as quality goes, I don't know how "Alex" is, but "Speed" is pretty decent.

Speed....the only thing that interested me at all about Alexander was Rosario Dawson.

Speed most definatlely,it has great performances by Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock, Jeff Daniels, and Dennis Hopper (who sadly has prostate cancer and is currently being treated for it). Plus the film has great special effects. The blu-ray will give you home theater quite a workout!

Alexander.

I like both films but IMO Alexander is the best film of the two, besides it looks wonderful on HD. "Alexander" is one of the best transfers I've ever seen.
I've never understood why all the hate towards "Alexander". I.e. It's no worse than Troy.
