Default Need help finding good quality earphones

I used the Bose in-ear headphones for the longest time, but they appeared to have just shorted out yesterday. So instead of getting them repaired I'm thinking I want to buy a new pair. I know there's a lot better out there so I've been looking around. So far these peak my interest:

Klipsch IMAGE S4 In-Ear Bass Noise-Isolating
Shure SE530 Sound Isolating Earphones
Etymotic Research ER-45/ER-4P Earphones
Jays q-Jays Earphones

I'm looking to spend no more than maybe $250-$300 on them. The lesser the better, but I still want the best quality possible. I'm definitely critical of audio. I want good crisp highs and a strong, but not overbearing bass. At the same time, I'd like good sound isolation/noise reduction. Can any of you guys spit some knowledge my way?

Right now, the Jays q-Jays Earphones are a strong draw for me. They're priced well, and from all the reviews I've read they sound great too.

While the Etymotic's and Shure's are some of the best out there the pricetag on those babies are crazy. I'm sure they're worth the money, but from what I read they just don't have the bass that I want. My choice of music varies greatly so I want something that'll fit the needs of every genre I listen to. Which is pretty much...every genre. So upon doing some research the Jays q-Jays earphones are a strong candidate so far.

i have studio headphones i use sometimes for quality sound, but i've noticed that the small..suction cuppy headphones provide pretty incredible sound as well. not as good as my studios or the ones you're looking to buy, but theyre cheap and expendable.

I ended up going with the Q-Jays. For the price, I think I'll get what I'm going for.

i have recently bought new headphones called ultimate ears, its by logitech. they are suppose to be real high end IEM. about a month ago they had a crazy sale for the UE tripfi 10 for only 100 on amazon. it was retail for 400 at the time i believe. they are now back up to 300 a pair. i been reading a lot before i got these on ebay for 160, you can prob find them as low as 150 maybe. but u can also check out head-fi.com and look for ultimate ears triple fi 10. very popular brand. good luck in looking for you.

o yea i was going get shure but cheapest i can find them are 260 on ebay. only problem with that is shure they dont have replaceable cables, and i read shure had problems with their cracking after couple of months. its just not worth having to buy another pair. try looking into other brands that have replaceable cables, bc they only cost 20-50 depend on what you want.

i only wanted new headphone bc i was going get a touch and wanted something nice and will last long. the UE are built very nice but only thing is it might not be as comfortable, im getting use to it. but time will tell.

good luck with your search.
i hope this help you.
