That might be a tad early... depending on how long it stays in theaters, but I'm sure by Christmas they'll all be out. But, will the "ultimate toy box edition" just be all 3 movies in a cardboard case? or would it actually be something worthwhile with sweet extras? Depending on how much you love the franchise, I would say pick them up as they become available. But then again, that's just what I'm doing because I'm anxious and can't wait.

Yeah, I can't wait for the box set, I've been a toy story fan since I was like 8 years old. Chances are the trilogy box set will just be all three movies in a slipcase, just like pirates and spider-man, I just hope the cover for the 3rd bluray will match the covers for 1 and 2.

I will pick up each movie, I personaly do not like big box set, I prefer having the movies on their own. Extra bonus features that might be added in a big box set later on are not much of a concern to me. I just want the movies

I'm of the same mind. I love the ideas of 3 discs of Special Features in releases, but I usually end up not watching them or maybe only once. Ultimately, its the movie that matters.

I thought about waiting for a box set, but decided to order the first two separately, just in case the third movie's no good (not that I'm expecting it to be bad or anything, but you never know).

My daughter doesn't care about extras, so as long as I can buy Toy Story 1 & 2 for around $15 a pop (hopefully lower than that) then I will buy them. I also haven't seen these movies in at least eight or nine years, so my anticipation to see them in again (and in blu this time) is growing.

This, ever since Pixar started going Blu, I had Toy Story in mind for it being my favorite Pixar movie. I love it and I cant wait to pick it up.

Since you already have them on DVD, I'd wait, you'll save money. I'd bet money that an edition with all the movies will come out. I'm hoping for a steelbook myself. *Crosses fingers*

My prediction:
Expect a 3-disc collectors set with swag by Christmas.
After that there will be a 3D ultimate collectors set (possible early next year)
After that there may be a 3-movie (no swag) set.

As far as what you should do:
If you love the movies and want to see them as soon as possible in HiDef, then obviously, you should buy the first two movies now.

If you are considering 3D gear in the next year or two, you may want to wait until later this year.

If you are OK with watching upscaled DVD's, then wait until after Christmas.

Considering this is a Disney release, I wouldn't be all surprised to see a super, ultimate, collector's release of all three Toy Story movies with tons of extras. However that won't be for years, so if you enjoy the movies, buy them now, that's what I'm doing.

I can see them putting a bundle together for Christmas, so you may want to wait.

Of course some retailer might have some goodies available when they release the first 2, so who knows.

I'm not convinced there would be a special 3 movie set. If Disney does like they did with POTC you won't get anything other than shrink wrap holding all 3 movies together.

On the other hand, they could hold out for a special 3 movie set later that has all of the movies in 3D (but that could be a bit later). Who knows at this point.

I was wondering what I was gonna do myself when I saw these were coming out... I'm not in a rush to get them, so I'm gonna either wait it out and get all 3 or if I come across a really good deal I'll probably pick them up

If these had come out a year earlier they would be must buys. Today though with the 3D releases fresh in my mind and 3D Blu-Ray hardware launching in June I think Disney is making a big mistake releasing them now. They should have released all 3 movies at once in 3D in the fall. Im going to wait in hope that they do exactly that
