Default Dynex banana plugs.. How do I install?

Hello everyone,

I looked all over the place for info on these but couldn't find anything definitive. I purchased these from Best buy.....

http://www.dynexproducts.com/p-671-d...ana-plugs.aspx

these basically have a small opening in a back with a small screw in the side. I'm assuming I pull the rubber casing forward to expose the screw, loosen screw, put the speaker wire in and then tighten the screw until it has a nice and tight connection. Does this sound right?

LASTLY.... how far in do I put the speaker wire in? do I push it as far forward as it can go towards the front? or just midway through? so confused.

Fattbill,

actually I just noticed that there are two sets of small screws. do I push the wire in until it hits the screw towards the front? or should the wire actually be secured by both sets of screws with the wire pushed up to the very front of the plug where the slits are?

Use both screws.

haha thanks guys. Figured it out while waiting for the reply. A bit of a drag to put together, but awesome once they were on as I put the plugs in all the wrong connections. Super easy to replace once on though =)

Even Dynex banana plugs are easier then dealing with bare wire
