Default Banana Plugs

I just bought a baf of "1 PAIR OF High-Quality Copper Speaker Banana Plugs - Closed Screw Type [JX-74043]" for my Onkyo 606, but I can't figure out how to sucure the 14 or 16 gauge wire to it. Did I buy the wrong kind? Thanks for the help.

Unscrew the end and insert the stripped wire until the copper sticks out. "Fold" the copper down over the opening about a 1/4" or so. Screw the top back on.
