USA The Sony desktops thread

Hi there! I was looking around and noticed there was no similar thread, so I made this one.

Ever since my old desktop died on me, I have been planning on to get a Sony one, though they are expensive, and now even more with BD.

Well the latest models, the L series are not as expensive as past models and have touch display on screen; but then I saw that their BD drives don't write, just read.

So why do you think their newer models don't have BD writing? Their past models, the VGC-RT's did had writing (but still no touch screen) and still are more expensive than the new models. So what gives?

My guess is that maybe the product would be too expenisve with both BD writer and touch screen. Has Sony ever said something on this?
