On the back of your controller there is a tiny hole, it's a reset button, once you press that in (you might need a pin), make sure you connect it via the usb lead to the PS3 and restart the console, it should work now.

both of my controllers started doing this immediately after the update. It's really annoying. They work though If the system is in standby and I use the controller to turn it on. Whichever controller I use to turn it on will work but the other one wont. As soon as I unplug the USB cable they start going all haywire.

Grim, my slim and 2 sixaxis controllers have done that 5 times since the firmware 3.10 update. I wish I could help you, but the only things that work for me are plugging it in ore restarting 2-3 times.

I've had this problem a couple of times also after the update. I have to shut off the system and turn it on again with the ON button on the ps3 instead of the PS button on the controller, thats the only way it would work for me when the connection drops

My controller and Logitech IR->BT adapter both stopped working a couple days ago. All I did was manually restart my PS3 slim with the power button on the front. Worked fine after that. I think it's a problem with the last update, as this problem seems to be cropping up alot now.

I'm having bluetooth sync issues as well since the 3.10 update. Both my DS3 and PS3 Socom BT mic have been giving me fits after working flawlessly.
If I turn my PS3 slim on with the front button, the DualShock won't connect unless it's plugged in (can't unplug it after). If I press the DS3 PS button to power on the PS3, the controller works normally most if not all of the time. The Socom BT mic requires many attempts to get working. Sometimes it will show a blue light in the PS3 "Manage BT Devices" util but it will not show the speaker icon in Call of Duty. I also have a PS3 slim, 2x DS3, the official PS3 mini-keyboard and PS3 remote (from 60gb launch). PS3 remote seems to have no problems. |

Same problem here. Immediately after the FW3.10 update, my controller won't connect half of the time when I turn on the PS3 with the PS button on the controller. The console turns on but the controller's 4 red lights keep flashing.
When I connect with a USB cable or when I turn the console on/off with the power button, things work normally again. I've also had two instances where my Sony remote wouldn't connect with the PS3. Seriously, don't they test these FW's before releasing them? It's starting to get annoying ... |

My controller is doing the same thing. It turns the Slim on when I press the PS button, then the 4 red lights start flashing! It's not every time but enough to be annoying. I've just been plugging the usb cable in which sorts the problem and it doesn't really bother me having the cable plugged in anyway (though I have a 10 foot cable and don't use the 3 foot one that comes with the PS3).
