well I for one seriously love Warner because--unlike many other bd studios--they actually embrace their classic library, but I gotta say this release schedule for next year seriously baffles me in several instances.
I mean there are definitely some great classics coming, but I really hoped we would start seeing some Bette Davis movies as well as the Astaire/Rogers movies. Also: very surprised to not see more musicals coming out; they have so many great ones waiting to get released. I know I should be more patient, but it's so hard. ![]() EDIT: yeah all those classics on the list are known to be coming to the US. they discussed all of them a little while back. |

There are marvellous titles on this list. I am specifically looking forward to Killing Zoe and Broken Flowers.
There is some hope that Killing Zoe won't have forced subtitles as at is a Metropolitan release. Broken Flowers will be a BAC release and they always have them, but hope dies last. |

Totally agree with you on the musicals - I would love to see "Cabaret" and "Hair" on Blu-ray for example. Anyways, it's a great list of releases - what a great surprise that they are releasing "Ghost Dog" on BD - the music and cinematography are just so cool! I think I will blind buy "Inglourious Basterds", "BG - The Plan" and "Un Prophète". There is also a lot of positive buzz on "Le Concert" from cinemagoers at the moment. Classics like "Third Man", "Pierrot le Fou" and "A Bout de Souffle" are also on my list. Best regards, Scan |

Just a couple ones I'll probably lay my hands on:
Reservoir dogs (Metropolitan) District 9 (Metropolitan) Ultimate game (TF1 Vidéo) Informant (The) (Warner Home Vidéo) Dumbo - Édition 70ème anniversaire (Walt Disney Home Entertainment) Mission G (Walt Disney Home Entertainment) Démineurs (M6 Vidéo) Box (The) (Wild Side Vidéo) Clones (Touchstone Home Entertainment) Micmacs à tire-larigot (Warner Home Vidéo) Ruban blanc (Le) (TF1 Vidéo) Twilight - Chapitre 2 : Tentation (M6 Vidéo) Apocalypto (Quinta Communications) Imaginarium du Docteur Parnassus (L') (Metropolitan) Avatar (20th Century Fox Home Entertainment) Max et les Maximonstres (Warner Home Vidéo) Toy story (Walt Disney Home Entertainment) Toy story 2 (Walt Disney Home Entertainment) Sherlock Holmes (Warner Home Vidéo) Planète 51 (TF1 Vidéo) Shrek (DreamWorks France) Shrek 2 (DreamWorks France) Shutter island (Paramount) The list is absolutely stunning but I do miss the Lord of the Rings (TE)! Even though Disney has released several titles in SteelBook form, these have all been under the Disney banner, and we've yet to see a Touchstone Pictures SteelBook, although that would definitely kick ass.

The Last of the Mohicans will likely be the theatrical cut since it's from WB. Which is my preferred version. I'll import that one for sure, although hopefully it gets a UK release since their Blu-rays are cheaper than France's.
