Default Best HTIB for Panasonic BD60 between $300 - $450 bucks?

Hi to all,
I am planning to get a Home Theater System but I donīt know which one would you suggest to me for my Panasonic BD60 blu-ray player.

Basically what I need is an HDMI output to connect to my HDTV and enjoy a real 7.1 sound.

Current options:
- Panasonic SC-BT300

Other option?

Thanks in advanced.

IMO you should stay away from Panasonic HTiBs. They're proprietary systems and can't be upgraded or added to. Their speakers usually can't be used with other AV receivers either because they have odd impedance ratings. If you must go with an HTiB, go with Onkyo. They're systems are built around 'real' AV receivers and every component in the system falls within 'standard' specs so they can be upgraded or added to as you go.

My father also recommends always ONKYO Hahaha.

What about this one:
Onkyo HT-S5200 7.1-Channel Home Entertainment Receiver/Speaker Package with iPod Dock (Black)

That's not a bad system as far as an HTiB goes. It would be a far better choice than the Panasonic IMO. Keep in mind that any of these systems come with basic receivers, but it's 7.1, decodes all the latest HD audio formats, and it has 4 HDMI inputs.

CORRECTION: Apparently this system Does NOT decode HD audio, and for that reason I recommend stepping up to the HT-S6200.

I agree with the Onkyo HT-S6200. Check it out at Accessories4less in the " Packaged Systems " area. You can't get a better system for the money.

A4L sell the system on E-bay where using Bing you can save an extra 8% over the online store price. Total comes out around $482.
