a "Collection" for PS3 Games? - Blu-ray Forum

Under our avatar it has the "Collection" where people can see other's blu ray titles that we own, or have for trade, or whatever.

Why not have a Ps3 version as well? I'd like to be able to list what titles that I have (PSN and PS3 Disc). Some have a whole lot, and listing them in our sig is not always an option due to limited space.

Is that something that can be done?

thats something that has been a request for awhile now, i remember reading and adding my name to the list of people who would like that feature in the feedback forum, but im not sure what is holding it up, its probably just a matter of getting around to it, there were a bunch of other recent changes to the site, so im sure they were busy working on that stuff and might get around to the PS3 collection soon

also, to the powers that be, if a PS3 game review function was added to the site, i would be willing to be a contributor

Well, the drawback to this is that there are a lot of people who only rent games or play them through and sell them (like me). So my "collection" would only be like 4 games at a time and wouldn't really be representative of what I play.

+1. It probably won't happen, because this isn't a dedicated gaming site. Who knows, it would be cool though!

Well obviously you wouldn't be listing games that you rent, or borrow to play.

You list the games you OWN, or have up for trade, much in the way the current collection works.

*shrugs* just a thought anyway.

+1 if anything there should be a list of what people need other people to play them online

Yeah but for people like me that would just be silly to update something like that on a monthly basis as I play through games and then sell them. BTW I should clarify that I sell pretty much every game after I beat it. My Platinum list is longer than the list of games than I currently own. And I don't rent either.

Then it wouldn't be a "collection," as the word implies ownership.

I'm not a fan of online collection lists, as I've been burned in the past by sites shutting down or removing the feature, or crashing and losing all the data. (I need to update my sig... I know we have over 400 Blu-rays now, and well over 100 PS3 games.)

I use a Mac app called DVDpedia to catalog my movies, but I have a copy of Delicious Library 2 that I got for free during MacHeist that can catalog movies, games, CDs, iTunes library, books, etc. so I'll likely be switching to that. (It even uses my iMac camera to scan barcodes for faster input.)

We have so many movies, when we want to watch something, we browse DVDpedia instead of staring at spines on the shelf. I wish either of those programs could broadcast a media server applet to my TiVo or PS3 so I could browse from the sofa. Yeah... I'm lazy like that.

This IS a dedicated Blu-ray site....and if I'm not mistaken, PS3 games=Blu discs.

So hopefully it will happen in the future.

If this feature was added would the games get mixed up with the Blu Rays? if so that would be annoying!

I think it's a great idea, as long as games are kept in a seperate list from blu's.

+1...It would be nice to have a PS3 collections side to this site, but I think these guys/ladies have been doing an awesomely great job already with the site and it might be more of a hassle to put/maintain features that are alike the blu...If it happens thank you in advance...

Feature that has been asked for time and time again. When we first asked about it , over 6 months ago, they said it was coming.
