PS3 Slim questions - Blu-ray Forum

I know these questions will sound stupid but is the PS3 slims blu ray video quality as good as the original? And with the Slim Bitstreaming D audio will i notice a difference between the Linear PCM HD Audio?

I have a ps3 slim and a ps3 80GB original and I haven't noticed a difference in audio or video quality. I don't have the best TV or surround speakers though so there could be a difference that I am just not noticing.

I've had and compared both, the slim has better PQ than the old PS3's. As far as bitstreaming vs. PCM. That is pretty subjective. Some say bitstream is better others say there is no difference. I've compared back and forth many time and still can't decide if it's better or equal. Sometimes I think it sounds better other times it sounds same, etc.

Whats the noise lvl like on a slim playing a bluray? My 60 gb has a pretty loud fan that goes on and off.

The slim is virtually silent by comparison to the 60-GB model.
