Thinking of adding 2nd sub. Problem is I can't find one now. Should have bought 2 when I bought mine. Anyone have 1 for sale or know where to get for a good price?

Available here in Canada at FS on liquidation for 500$ Canadian or even 400$ for floor models but that would mean hell of drive for ya from SC. Who ever has one will not want to get rid of it.

That sub is great not the lowest frequency response but very respectable 23hz +/-3db fast, accurate and very musical.

OK, if I can't find another one of those is there a sub that would match it. Maybe the 10 incch made by Mirage?

If you can find the Mirage Prestige S10 it's really the closest thing you can find to your ESW-V10.

Uses the same amp to power, same driver and the cabinet is very close uses the same piano black finish.

I don't see why not even with a bit higher frequency response on the V8 this thing is really amazing and because it's in the same family it would work out pretty well together.

You could always pm CPT_Dylan_Hunt and ask him he has both in 2 seperate setup but I'm surr he tried them together. I heard the v8 as well as the v10 and yes they will sound close and team up pretty well to even out your bass response in a dual sub setup.

Yes you can mismatch subs, you will need to use an SPL meter to get them to play at the same level, you may find that the gain on the back of the V8 will be a little higher then the V10. Ideally it is best to have the same sub, but you don't have to.

I will be matching my Acoustic Audio with either a Hsu or eD sub, and that is a real mismatch..... but as long they get to the same level they can blend decently enough.

Which one? ESW V8, Mirage Omni S10, or Energy S10.3. I know there are better subs but they are also large in size. Which one would match up better with ESW V10?

I would suggest the Energy S10.3, it is very similar to the V10.

hey dude, how much are you looking to sell it for? not that I want it, but the ESW-10 is not a terrible sub, overpriced if paying retail, but Energy does make good subs, well, I have only heard the S10.3 and it was pretty nice, but I wasn't paying $530 for it. If closer to $350 I may have.... if the ESW-V10 was closer to $500 instead of $850 it would have sold better too.

Anyways, their NEW ESW-C10 doesn't look that good from the spec sheets, I guess it could compete with the Polks.

So what I was thinking was if you seen people in the AA thread that were looking to buy an AA, you may be able to sell your Energys Sub. Given all the complaints on the AA's as of late, it would be a better deal to get the Energy sub, more reliable and very accurate to 28 hz over the crap shoot that has plauged the AA's recently and probably less accurate to 20 hz.

Just a thought.

As callas said the S10.3 is a good sub you could match it with the V10 but it's abit less accurate and a bit slower but still great. 317$ now at Audio advisor sounds like a reasonable price and I'm sure you could make this work that would make a killer setup for HT honestly.

I own the S10.3 and it rocks it's capable of hitting the really low notes that you look for in HT setup.

http://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=ENS10.3

Mirage Omni S10 is the S10.3 of Energy It's like the Mirage Prestige S10 is to the the V10.

It's really the entry level sub replacing the ESW subs not S or ESW-V series

I expect a RC sub in the new RC line to replace the S series and I believe the Veritas subs will be discontinued just like their Veritas Speaker line. Damn you Klipsch.

Veritas line was a true Flagship to Energy speakers.

Had bid on the v10 on ebay and lost out. Was going to pay to much anyway. I'll probably stay with one for now unless I can find one for a good price later. Maybe upgrade in the future. Thanks for the help and suggestions. Although the v8 is agood price.
