Default Are you enjoying the relaxing time after the 12 weeks of Disney hunt?

I sure am, what a hecktick 12 weeks they were.

Waking up on a Tuesday without worrying if I'm gonna get the steelbook of the day or not is a relief although I miss the suspense sometimes

How about you guys, I'm sure some of you are eager for another round of steelbooks.

For me I will be happy with the occasunal new release and only getting movies that I like.

Absolutely enjoy the relief on not having to race out and drive around town to hopefully pick up a copy or two of the steelbook, although the last 3 weeks were completely different than the first 9

I am eager for some more Disney Steelbooks, but not just yet, and not released in the same fashion as the last 12.

Cheers

I'm with you guys. It was fun but I'm glad it's over!

For the past couple months my weekend was Monday/Tuesdays, so it worked out perfect for me

These next couple of months I'll have a normal weekend, which is good because the only thing coming out on Tuesdays I'll have to worry about is amarays and games!

Its nice to take a break and i hope they are gonna select some good titles for 2010 (lots of good choices imo and a shame if they don't pick the right ones). Funny i went to the FS at Yonge and Dundas and lo behold there is still 2 POTC:AWE SBs still there..

It was a painful time but now, into the third week of no SteelBook releases i find myself ever so eager to find out the upcoming SteelBooks..if any ..minus the ones we already now about.

I think this question pertains more to the Canadian Steelbook followers, its a different story on US end - the barage of Steelbook that were placed in a single day was something.

I would have happily joined in the hunt, as we don't seem to get any steelies for Disney over here in the UK Heck, HMV sales assistants didn't even know what a Steelbook was when I asked them!

I actually miss the days when there were only 4-5 releases a year. It made them that much more valuable, and it was a lot of time, effort and money saved.

The first week was a major failure in my area and I hardly picked 4 copies. The employees wasn't ready for this, they couldn't even scan those SBs I wasted 3hours for 4 copies in 3 stores, it really was a pain in the @$$.
So the first week was totally different then any steelbook ever released in Canada. So it's more like 1-8-3 but you're right the last 3 weeks they didn't care.

It didn't make them much more valuable those were limited to 4000 (maybe less) that's the only reason why Iron Man and IAL reached that point. I miss the old days too but we never have steady steelbooks it's either everything or nothing. We had Iron Man (09/30/08), Indy 4 (10/14/08) the 6 James Bonds (10/21/08) and TDK (12/09/08) with pretty close release dates.

We just had 18 in the past 12 weeks and I helped many friends it was just too much.

Cheers,
Gui.
