This site is pretty reliable when determining region codes. Search for the movie and you're brought to a page giving all of the details of the release, including audio/video codecs, aspect ratio, price and region locks.

Really sick of waiting for a region B release of this movie, especially as the region A version is supposed to be a damn fine transfer

You might consider getting yourself a region-free player. That's what I did and I've just recently placed an order for Cast Away.

I'm getting the Tevion DVD1100 Region Free Player. It is exactly the same as the Momitsu BDP-899, just with a different name and sold in the UK. You can even use the Momitsu firmware for it.

Do you know if it is it as good as or better then the BDPS-350?

To be honest with you i'm not completely sure but at £80.00 its a steal.

Yes. When you turn the player on it is set to Region 2/B. All you have to do is enter a code (cant remember off the top of my head but PM me if you want) and you can set it to play Region A BD's and Multi Region DVD's or Region B BD's and Multi Region BD's.
