You got most right accept the first one. Up in the Air should Win because it was better than the Hurt Locker.

But this is the globes not the oscars so "popularity" carries the day. It would not suprise me for that very average film Avatar to clean up.

The Hurt Locker > Up In The Air

People just feel Up In The Air is better because it seems more relevant to the times whereas we've been at war in Iraq for a while, the financial crisis and unemployment has only been within the last year.

I don’t see (sound effects edition or sound) anywhere on that list. Nope not interested in the Golden Globes I’ll wait till Oscar has its list of nominees.

It doesn't matter why someone fells a film is better, it is still the better film to them. I personally think avatar will walk away with best drama at the golden globes and best picture at the oscars.

Im with Elvis on this one Up In The Air is great!

I also Think (500) Days of Summer will win and Joseph Gordon-Levitt Should win for his performance. I have a feeling that he is going to be an amazing actor in the future. I think he is now he just hasnt done a great amount of films yet as Leo or Crowe have.

People don't feel anything. I happen to think it is a better film.

Up in the Air was great, don't get me wrong. I just marginally liked The Hurt Locker more.

Up In The Air > The Hurt Locker

The relevance to the times had nothing to do with me thinking the movie was better. If anything, I didn't like that part of the movie (and all the real-life laid-off people Reitner used in the movie).

The Hurt Locker, to me, was just a decent, suspenseful movie.

Up In The Air, to me, was more contemplative, and more entertaining, which is why I thought it was better.

I don't watch the Golden Globes, so I don't really know how they work, but I'll make some guesses anyway (my guesses are in bold).

For me personally I definitely thought that it's relevancy to the times definitely affected how much I liked it. I just honestly can't see me loving this movie as much as I did 5 years down the road. I don't think it's as timeless as No Country for Old Men, Slumdog Millionaire, or The Departed for example.

Just my two cents.

I'm a bit disappointed best score didn't go to Avatar or A Single Man.

I think the most competitive category tonight is Best Comedy/Musical. 500 Days of Summer, Julie & Julia, The Hangover, and Nine are all so excellent.

500 Days of Summer is easily the best film out of all those

I agree. I'm angry that Kendrick didn't get the win. She was really great in the film.

I thought it was terrible. I just couldn't get into it. The best part was the end when he actually found a girl for him.

OK, the TV category that was just awarded, the winner was Mad Men - who in the hell was that redhead standing up there behind the guy accepting the award?

I thought it was offbeat and something different, rather than your typical comedy like hangover, and a musical that fell flat like NINE
