Heath Ledger - Nominated for Golden Globe - Blu-ray Forum

Golden Globe nominations came out this morning and the only Dark Knight nomination was for Heath Ledger in a supporting role.

FYI - all noms in category -
1. TOM CRUISE – TROPIC THUNDER
2. ROBERT DOWNEY JR. –TROPIC THUNDER
3. RALPH FIENNES – THE DUCHESS
4. PHILIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN – DOUBT
5. HEATH LEDGER – THE DARK KNIGHT

Ah so it begins! I wonder if that will hurt the chances of having him notinated for an Oscar?

I hope not. He is very deserving of this nomination as well as one for the Oscar.

It says for TT, and I hated him in that movie thought his role was pointless and annoying.

I'm sure that he will be nominated for best supporting actor though I think he should be really be nominated for best actor category. But I believe that this will likely be Brad Pitt's year as I think he wil be an easy victor for Best Actor for the "Curious Case of Benjamin ***) and Ledger will be an easy victor in the best male supporting actor category. The Dark Knight should at least be nominated for Best Picture. It if doesn't it's a major insult to Warner Brothers and all of the people behind the scenes.

i think he deserves to at least get nominated for both. that was an awesome performance. i watched it again last night, the thing that makes me feel the performance was so good is the "chase" scene w/dent in the armored car.

he goes from one extreme to the next from the time the chase starts to when he's caught.

Oh I miss the supporting role bit, so it's not for lead. I did not see TT yet but in general I find TC to be, well not that good

Except James Franco was funny and no where near annoying.

Philip Seymor Hoffman is a beast of an actor though, I will be surprised if Heath beats him out.

I haven't seen Doubt, yet. That role looks to have some teeth to it. Ledger is certainly more deserving than the other noms outside of PSH.

Hoffman is great, but Ledger was absolutely perfect. Not a sympathy vote - I want Ledger to win.
