Default Audio Question on Sony BDP-S360

I bought the S360 to replace a junky Funai player in my bedroom a few days ago. When I play a movie the action or adventure scenes are extremely loud and voices and very soft and hard to hear. It's not a big deal, but I was wondering what I should alter on the settings of my player to change this. This player is connected via HDMI, and there is no sound system, reciever, etc, just the television speakers.

Any help would be appreciated.

Turn off any surround type modes on the TV. They often produce the kind of audio you are describing.

On the player, set Audio HDMI to 2 Ch, since that's all your TV can accept. Set Audio DRC to TV Mode, which will reduce dynamic range (effectively boosting dialog), but only for Dolby sources. Set Downmix to Normal.

To the OP.... Thats what I did ^^^^ and the sound is much much more level. I was getting tired of raising and lowering the volume all the time on my bedroom TV.
