Spring Awakening (2011)

I just came across this on the IMDB. It is being directed by Joseph McGinty Nichol who has directed We Are Marshall. Does anyone happen to know more about this because I am interested.

I had no idea who Joseph McGinty Nichol was, but then I clicked on your link and saw it's McG. I know Spring Awakening is a pretty popular play and that one of the girls from Glee was doing it before she got her part on Glee. It doesn't sound like a McG type movie since most of the stuff he's done has been action-oriented and targeted to guys and this is arguably a chick flick.

McG used to be a prominent music video director before he directed features. His Music Video resume is extensive, so him doing the movie version of Spring Awakening does make sense.
