Default Dragon Age: Origins

http://kotaku.com/5064792/dragon-age...ed-for-ps3-360

Quote:
Yes, Dragon Age is coming to consoles, according to the latest issue of Game Informer magazine. The first entry in what BioWare is clearly planning to be a long-running franchise will hit the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2009. The fourth quarter of 2009, that is, giving you quite a long time to think about whether another few thousand dialogue trees is on your Christmas list.

The PC version of Dragon Age: Origins is still slated for for Q1 of '09. Based on our hands-off time with the game at E3, we have to say we're interested, we just have to find the time.
In case anyone was wondering what this game is...it is literally the "spiritual" successor to Baldor's Gate...made by the same company....

I can't freaking wait...this is incredipinoy!!!!

Hmm.

Glad it's late next year. I won't have any extra playing time until then. Too many good games coming out.

This game looks a bit like fable. I hope the game play is good. This is a definite buy if it continues in the direction of those screen shots.

Am I the only one who preferred the interface and look of Neverwinter Nights over NWN2?

Umm, I think you missed a word - it's the "spiritual" successor not the litteral successor. Big difference.

For some reason NWN2 never really did it for me.

I was WAY into NWN and even built a lot of content for persistent worlds. Played it for like two years hardcore.

NWN2... didn't even finish the campaign.

I hope Dragon Age brings something 'fresh' to the table that is actually engaging enough to hold my interest.

Every time you mention NWN, my heat flutters a little bit...I would kill (or at least hurt seriously) for something like this on the PS3!

I'll probably end up getting the PC version... unless they make all the community mods that's bound to appear work for the console version which I doubt...

That aside I didn't really dig NWN2 either... got about half way through it and gave up. It just seemed so generic while the writing was a lot weaker when compared to the likes of BG and BG2.

I hope they don't screw this one up...having watched some of the trailers I am quietly optimistic though some of the voice acting was decidedly wooden.

Since the editor really worked with tilesets I do not see why the tileset editor could not be recreated for ps3, I mean Timesplitters did it and that was last gen.

I better be careful before I get my hopes up.

I just caught a blip of this on x-play the other day, it looks pretty good. They said it would come out in November and amazon has it listed as Nov. 30th. *crosses fingers* this would make a good Christmas present

I'm interested in this game, it looked really good on GTTV. I hope it delivers and the PS3 has KB+M support

Yea hopefully the successor to Baldur's Gate the PC version not the ps2 version - I logged a great many hours on BG, TOSC, BG2:SOA and TOB probably my favorite game of all time.

I should build an XP machine and play it again - it doesn't play nice w Vista 64
