I have not noticed as many sales on displays this month as in the past few years. The best deals all seemed to end around the beginning of December, a bit unusual in my experience.

Don't most places keep prices the same as usual for the most part around Super bowl? I just assumed that this was the norm.

My weekly flyers for Best Buy, Target and Wal-Mart have all shown deals, and some of them great deals too. I know the last Wal-Mart ad I saw had a Sony Bravia 46" 1080p for like, $899 or something. That sounds pretty good to me.

My local ABC warehouse had a pretty good deal on a panny 42 inch 1080p; it was just under 600 . It was the U model.

i was just relooking at that sharp 42". seems good enough. but i don't want to have to send anything back. i wonder how good the picture would be compared to my toshiba 32cv510u . its a basic 720 32" .

i don't want to spend more than $500.

They used to do a lot of Super Bowl sales back in the rear projection days now not so much. This week is notorious for large TV sales but next week is just as bad for all the TVs returned so fewer retailers do Super Bowl related deals but you can still find some here and there.

Think about it. You and 20 million other guys are/were about to buy an HD set before the Superbowl. Not a good time to look for sales. Try on Valentines day. No guy is buying his girl a TV unless its actually for himself.

yeah, you guys make sense. i guess the guys that said to wait for the super bowl sales didn't know their ass from a whole in the ground. if the SD set in the dining room had a remote, i wouldn't be looking for a new set.

Wal Mart is having great sales on Sony and Samsung LCD tvs. Go buy and get a flyer. Or just walk in and look at the prices. You can get a 46" CHEAP!!!
