BIC Venturi DV64 (passive radiators?)

I searched the forum and found nothing on these. Does anyone have any thoughts/knowledge/experience with them?

To me they seem like a good design, and at a good price. The reviews are extremely favorable, and the -3db response is listed at 29hz!

I haven't heard speakers with passive radiators before, do they have a flatter response than ported speakers? How do they affect the bass frequencies? I'm particularly interested in non-ported designs for their smoother response.

How do these compare to Polk Monitor 70 design? The 70's are a 2.5 way design with 2 mids and 2 woofers both playing bass frequencies, and they are ported. They have the same amount of 6.5" drivers but the bottom 2 drivers on the Polk 70's are actually powered. Without considering the tweeter and brand, what are the +/- for each design?

In general, are BIC speakers good quality?
