Anyone watch "The Philanthropist"? - Blu-ray Forum

I watched the premiere but not sure why now. I will give it one more shot and move on if it isn't any better than the first one. The show says it is based on a true character but it must be very loosely based on the 'true character', no one is going to hike 17km through the jungle without water and food or even shoes after a bit. The snakebite was several points too far, IMO. If you saw something worth watching in this show please let me know so I can look for it.

Same here.I'll be very surprise if it last more than four episodes.

Watched it and liked it, but I'm a big James Purefoy fan. Being that this show is only scheduled for 8 episodes, it might get to run all of them since it's summer.

I watched the second show and found it much better than the first. At least the story line had some physical credibility. I am still a bit annoyed the main character thinks he can simply buy his way out of any situation. Now if he used his money to set up a clever Mission Impossible style scenario it would be much better!
