will my 60gb ps3 play region 3 dvds?

If it's a US PS3 then I don't think it will.

A PS3 that is not Region 3 will not play region 3 discs, DVD or Blu-ray.

Sometimes super cheap DVD players from Wal-mart are actually region free. I'm sure google would reveal a shortlist of easy to find, cheap solutions.

You could also buy another DVD drive for your computer. In the hardware properties for the drive you can simply designate it as a region 3 drive. Most DVD drives have a limit on how many times you can change the region, so its best to just buy a dedicated drive for a given region.

Or you could use DVD decrypter to make an image of the DVD on your hardrive, stripping region encoding in the process. You could then just watch it on your computer or burn the image to a dual layer DVD.
