Ok, i got dark knight on blue ray, and half way through the movie it started skipping repeatedly. I took out the disk and it loops filmy in light. None of my other disks do this. I am using a Samsung player.

it looks kinda like gassoline does on watter, or like the light interference on soap bubbles
i doubt its scratches, cause it was the first time i have played the disk |

that has nothing to do with whether your movie skips or not. that's perfectly normal. all my blu-rays have that look to it. i think it's just the coating.

Look at how he spells it: "Blue ray disk"
While the proper spelling is "Blu-ray Disc" how did the OP get it so wrong? Come on you're going to a site called blu-ray.com does it not five you any clues on how it should be spelt. Plus the fact that the top of the case says "Blu-ray Disc" |

I have yet to have a Netflix blue ray that dosn't skip. Is this a common problem? They skip so badly that it makes movies unwatchable. It plays DVD'd prefectly and blu-rays we buy . We have a Samsung player. We get a lot from Netflix. Could it just be that they are getting bad disks? The disks aren't scratched or smudged at all. Were trying to watch Gi Joe right now and it gets 40 mins in and becomes unwatchable. Could it be when it switches to the second layer? Thanks.

I've had only one Blu skip on me and it was Enemy at The Gates during the beginning sequence with the train. I checked the disc and it looked perfect with no scratches or fingerprints.

Make sure your Samsung has the latest firmware installed. I recall The Dark Knight being one of the titles that caused people headaches until they upgraded to the latest firmware. I have a Samsung BD-P1590 and it plays The Dark Knight flawlessly.
Watchmen and Ratatouille? That's another story. ![]() |

Have you tried to clean the disc? Does it always stop at the same place? Have you tried to start the disc say 1/4 way in see if it stops at the same place? Have you had a look with a monocole? Try using Nero to check the disc
