too late. go look on imdb. They're already set for a remake. Tarantino declined directing it.

Angry Remakes, leave the classics alone!

I would hope they can release the original Westworld on Blu-ray BEFORE the remake comes out.

Some movies should not be re-made. Westworld is one, and another all-time favorite of mine Escape From New York.

Sadly, both of these classic movies are going to be remade. Why can't Hollywood leave well enough alone?

But since we are talking remake: Have they cast their villain yet? That would be a mighty tough role for someone to step into. I assume Josh Brolin would inherit his father's role.

Yul Brynner. He was so BadA** in Westworld. A great movie with incredible suspense.

From playing Pharoh, to dancing across the screen in The King and I, to playing Chris in the Magnificent Seven.... the Man could act. There are few who come along who are his equal.

Was this movie released in Australia at some point, or did some guy just create a blu ray case for it?

An MGM title with the original poster art? Some Guy strikes again...

I'm a Michael Crichton fanatic. Westworld was probably his second best directorial effort after The Great Train Robbery. I'm also a big Yul Brynner fan. He was great in this movie.

I was able to cheaply acquire the rare paperback novelization on eBay a couple of years ago. Nice addition to my Crichton collection.

Anybody ever see the sequel, Futureworld? Peter Fonda was a much better lead than James Brolin. It's a shame that they couldn't come up with anything better for Yul to do than that dopey dream sequence.
