Default I should have learned by now...

...that everything technical doesn't like me.

Tried to setup my receiver according to this dummy guide, which seemed easily enough to follow.

http://batpigworld.com/setup.html

Now I have no sound. I don't know how to reset back to default.
For the record, the Audyssey mic is lost along with the actual manual.

Where I got confused (though the error may lie elsewhere) was at the end when I was going to assign my inputs.

For some reason, I can only get a picture when assigning HDP to HDMI 1. However, the audio channel is connected to the top slot called DVD on my receiver. When I tried to assign hdmi 1 to that slot, picture disappears. Haven't gotten the sound back at all no matter what I do. I'm so confused. I just want to reset it all and go with whatever default options that comes with when just plugging in the cables. Sounded ok to begin with, though not great.
