Rca rt2770 - Blu-ray Forum

Saw this while at wal-mart today.

I've never had a sound/speaker system before, only used the built in speakers from the tv itself.

Was wondering if anyone knows how good this is, if it's good for the price, if it's decent enough for a beginner/first time set up.

It depends on what you intend to connect to it. It has VERY limited connections, only 1 optical input and 1 coaxial input, and 2 analog stereo inputs. No HDMI. I also read the customer reviews at walmart.com and at cnet.com. They were not very good. There is no way I could ever recommend this system. You get what you pay for.
