I recently purchased a Blu-ray and am having problems with a picture break-up (nano-second black screen) on my 2005 Philips LCD TV (model # 30PF9946D/37). My service technician looked up isssues with this TV and found that it had some HD compatibility issues and that it was really designed to be a computer monitor. I do get perfect HD satellite reception. I also have a Westinghouse LCD TV (model # LTV30w2) which I can hook up to the Blu-ray (which is currently with the dealer who tested it and found nothing wrong with the Blu-ray). Any thoughts/experience on whether the Westinghouse, since it is made as primarily a TV and not a computer screen will have this issue? (Of course I am going to try this out) As you may detect, I am not very technically/electronically savy,so some of the above may sound a little crude.
