Default The Turtles Can't Save HD DVD!!

Amazon:

TMNT:

Blu-ray #68
HD-DVD #215

A minor point I know, and yes, I know its a combo for hd-dvd, but still.

Why does warner put those combo discs out again?

warner puts them out so they don't have to answer to all the po'd people who pick up hd dvd instead of dvd, its very misleading. and TMNT is one of the biggest a$$ kicking ive ever seen. we will be called "immature" by hd dvd fans for it though.

I honestly have no idea why they keep doing the combos. I have never talked to a single person who has picked one up as a "futureproofing"

They see $5 more that the Blu, that's already $5 more than the DVD and it's "screw that"

I stopped at NFM tonight to pick up TMNT on DVD for my sister's kids because it was $12.99. I bought Disturbia on Blu-ray for $29.77, which I didn't think was too bad of a price. The TMNT Blu-ray was the same and then I happened upon the TMNT HD DVD. I knew it was more expensive, $5.00 more infact, but just seeing $34.77 price tag just kind of shocked me. I know it is only $5 more but the perception of it makes it seem way more.

combo packaging dvds with hd-dud's, unbelievable. i was no marketing major in college, but that sounds like the dumbest thing one could do. why would you charge regular dvd buyers more for something they can't use and then saddle hd-dud owners with another disc that they don't need?

You can buy it on regular DVD without the HD-DVD. Just when you buy the HD-DVD you get a tag-along DVD version.

Default Worthless

Just on a note, i have an hd player and i think its retarded to have combo discs, like i would watch it on anything other than hd, and i certainatly would not let my kids handle a 35 dollar disc to watch the dvd version, needless to say for five bucks more, you can bet you'll always see the blu version in my cart!

its not a stupid idea. If you travel somewhere where you dont bring your hd-dvd player with you or you take the movie to a friends house and they dont have hd-dvd you could use the same disc.
