Default my99svt's living room wannabe theater

I'm trying the best I can with a house that isn't theater friendly. It's just what I can squeeze into my living room.

That is one Impressive,High-Quality Home Theater You Have Assembled.
Starting with an Integra AVR(Onkyo's Elite Line)Is A Great Selection as the Heart and Brains of your System.Stereophile Magazine and Home Theater Magazine Both give the Integra High Marks for its Performance and Features.

I Love them personally, and would Love to Own one of their AVR's or Seperate Combos.

Then the Panasonic Blu-Ray Player Combined with the Panasonic Monitor Provides Amazing Video Quality.I imagine Blu-Rays look Picture Perfect on that Amazing Plasma.

You Cant go Wrong with Quality Paradigm Speakers, like you are using.Great Front Towers combined with a Wonderful Center Speaker and Sweet Paradigm Surrounds.Add that Amazing Def.Tech Sub and the Audio Performance your System Delivers must be Incredible.

I will also say Great Use of the Space you have.Setting it on the Fireplace was an Excellent Idea instead of losing that area and setting your system elsewhere.

Its an Excellent System You Have. And One I would Proudly Call my Own.

Nice room and I love the look and sound of the Monitors. Is there any way you could angle teh center down to where you sit? You should get better detail in your dialog with the center directed straight at you instead of what appears to be shooting over your head. But you did a really good job.

Well I am in agreement with the rest of the posters on you having A Nice setup . I really like how & where you have it setup in the room on the Hearth in front of the fireplace . real nice system .

Thanks, I had it angled down but when I forgot the model number I moved it to find it and didn't put it back before I snapped the photo.

Actually, I'm saving for a Integra 40.1 or 80.1 Pre/Pro and maybe the Emotiva XPA-5 amp. Not locked in yet, although, it will definitely be an Integra receiver!

I noticed in the First Picture you had Two Nice Looking Black Shelves.
Are they attached to the back and the side? Or just in the Back?

I also noticed you had a fair amount of weight on them.
Would you mind if I asked where they came from and if you know how much weight they will hold?

I have been looking for some shelves just like that.I found a few I am using now,but they are much smaller and can only handle a couple of pounds.

So,if I am not being too nosey,I would be greatful for any info on them(I Like them and how you have them in the corner, alot)

But if I am being too nosey,I do apologize.

Not nosey at all, They are floating shelves attached at the back only. I got them at Lowes. They are made by Real Organized. In fact they hold alot of wieght. My center channel is sitting on one behind the tv. I believe the longer one has a 30# capacity. I know the shorter one was 25#.

Here is the link to the longer one:

Thank You Sincerely for that Information and Link.
I didn't even realize your Center was on a Shelf Like That.

But you do have One Amazing System thats well Balanced with Wonderful Performance in Both Video and Audio.

I will look into those shelves because a few of those in one corner would be a Great Addition for Storage Space,in my Room(which has NO Storage Space left at all).
Again,Thank You,my99.

That is a great looking living room theater! I think you will find as many living room setups on this site as dedicated rooms. You have to work with what you have and you have certainly maximized the use of your room.

Thanks guys. I'm gonna get in trouble because of this forum. Looking at all these systems and disc's makes me want to keep buying stuff. I have bought 40 blu-rays in 2 months!

I was wrong. The shelves only hold 15 pounds. I still have a lot of wieght on them and they hold up fine.
