Default New 607 owner with a few questions.

Loving this receiver so far after upgrading from a 10 year old Sherwood

1. My sub crossover goes all the way to 150hz on the top end but the 607 from what I can see only allows the sub to go to 120hz. Is there a way around this or am I missing a setting? I am using the Audyssey EQ settings.

2. Is there any setting to disable the constant listening mode changing, for example when watching cable TV the receiver changes modes when transitioning from the show in DD 5.1 to commercial.

3. Also noticed that the OSD works intermittently. Seems to work with no issue on xbox 360 running component to hdmi in. All connections are going to hdmi input on TV.

4. Any recommendations on floorstanding speakers in the $300-400 (per pair) range?

Thank you for your input!

1. Set the LPF of the LFE channel (.1) only at 120 Hz from your receiver's speaker menu,
and set the LPF from your sub itself to the max position.
* If your speakers are able to reproduce frequencies at or near 80 Hz, set their regular x-overs at 80 Hz, even after running Audyssey.

2. In your receiver menu "Listening Modes", just select the ones that you wish, for each individual input.

3. Disable the "Immediate Display", it does more harm than good, and you don't realy need it.

4. Sorry, it's a personal matter. Best is to audition a bunch of them, and pick the pair that sounds best to your own ears, and preferably in your own room with your own setup.
-> Paradigm, PSB, Energy and other reputable brands are a good place to start.
