Default Movies you liked but would only watch once...

Have you ever watched a movie and wondered if you like or not? Some movies can be just average (not bad or good).

Last night, I was watching The Box. It was an interesting and bizzare film but couldn't decide if I could watch it again. I also like the Saw movies but won't watch them twice.

Nice lol. My thread started this trend.

I will say I often times find myself unsure of movies that are thought of to be polarizing... which is counterintuitive.

But to answer the question, I know many people that are unsure of whether or not they enjoyed The Matrix sequels. You can either think it was awesome for its action or terrible for its writing! I don't understand the indecision with movies like that imo. Two different ways to interpret the film I guess.

The movie that immediately comes to mind is "Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith". I am a big Star Wars fan, and unlike many people I can rewatch the first and second prequels, but have no yearning to rewatch that movie.

I rented and watched "The Wrestler" and now it's cheap...... but not sure how much I would/wouldn't like it with a second viewing...... I'd watch it again.... just not sure if I'm willing to pay to watch it again......

I thought it was "good" when I saw it too

The second Matrix film was an indecisive one for me, but the third was definitely a dud.

Beta, I completely agree. It was a good film with great performances but idk if I'd want to watch it again.

I know I'm in the complete minority here, but I love all three. I just love the whole point of the series, the themes, and the story. The first is a masterpiece in many ways, the second I think is very entertaining, and the third is a fitting conclusion, albeit a bit of a letdown. Yes, the two sequels did not live up to the first and became too disconnected, but I appreciate them.

Burn After Reading. I didn't hate it, I didn't particularly like it, but I was struck by how completely minor and inconsequential it seemed

For me it's Fight Club. Not that it wasn't good but I'm still not quite sure how I feel about. Not sure if I would watch it again, but if I did I would look at it differently since what is reveled at the end.

I agree with you on Fight Club....I also feel the same about American History X....not quite sure how I feel about it in terms if I like it, love it or have a neutral feeling...might have to revisit this film.

Am I the only one that notices the title of the thread doesn't match the question in the OP

Anyway

This one's for Squid ()

The Fountain

I watched it not that long ago and after I was like, "um..hmmm..."

Wasn't sure if I liked it a lot or if I didn't like it that much.

All I was certain of was that Hugh Jackman did fantastic.

A couple days later I settled on a rating of 7/10. I also placed it in the "good, but won't ever watch it again" category.

Speed. Didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. However I don't think I can watch Keeanu Reeves acting in that movie more then once. The only reason I bought the movie on Blu was because HMV had a deal where if you spend more then $20, Speed or Die Hard were $10, and I already had Die Hard.

Seeing posts like these all over the forums has given me an idea for a thread. "How many of you buy BDs for no other reason than to pad your collection?" (I'm definitely in "glass houses" territory here, and I got the 800+ DVD collection to prove it.......like I really need a copy of Tank Girl).

But in the spirit of the thread, I did blind buy The Simpsons Movie. Don't hate it, don't love it, yada yada yada, you get the point.
