it's not an answer to your question, but you can transfer movies to an external HDD then watch from there (push triangle and select View All. The movies should be stored in a folder entitled MOVIES) or copy onto the PS3.

If you install PS3mediacenter on your Mac, then you can go into the media server icon on the PS3, hit triangle on the file you want to copy, then select the copy command. All you have to do on the Mac is tell PS3mediacenter where the files you want to share are.
http://ps3mediaserver.blogspot.com/ That software will automatically convert files that the PS3 might not recognize into ones that it will when you copy them, sometimes it'll do it without compressing them again. |
