I think that it would be great if Universal finally became a neutral studio. There's a lot of films that are only available on HD DVD that I would like to be able to watch in HD, such as Breach, that are only available on HD DVD.

Basically any HD DVD supporter will throw out any of these titles as their "Movies to End the Format War".

- ET
- Jurassic Park I or II
- Jaws
- Indiana Jones I-III
- The Matrix (Released already but if it had been sold by itself they would have easily surpassed either Pirates movie sales mark. Some get really cocking and think it would have sold more than both Pirates movies combined.)

These are wonderful and very sucessful movies, but I just have a really hard time seeing how these would devistate the blu-ray format.

Hah.. that movie is great. Stupid funny. Excellent cast - cool storyline and a bunch of ladies jumping around in skimpy outfits

the matrix isnt universal, its warner btw, and indiana jones is parmount i think so they will come to blu-ray.

but i would like to see both the mummy movies along with fast and the furious, jurassic park, american pies etc but none of those movies i had to have now, i really can wait for so take your time universal. I would rather have a good transfer then a bad one.

I'd love for Universal to go Neutral...movies like Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, The Mummy would all be great in HD! Although I don't think they are even making the regular Back to the Future dvd anymore so that will probably never happen anyways, but Universal has some great movies that I'd love to see in Hi Def!

Children of Men was incredible to me. It's one of my favorite movies.

These aren't necessarily all classics, but I think they're good movies nonetheless.
- Back to the Future Trilogy
- Twelve Monkeys
- Gladiator
- The Fast and the Furious Trilogy
- The Bourne Trilogy
- Serenity - Even though Fox owns the Firely series (WACK)

Like I said this isn't the best list, but it's more about Universal's subsidiaries than the studio itself, i.e. Focus and Rogue. The same goes for the Weinsten Company and Dimension studios. Together they've got movies like
- Pitch Black
- Traffic
- The Pianist
- Lost in Translation (My personal favorite movie)
- Scarface
- 21 Grams
- Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind
- Brokeback Mountain
- The Crow
- Grindhouse
- Scary Movie Series
- Sin City

So basically they've got all the sweet indie movie love and we're getting aall the awesome studio flicks. That's the way I see it.

For some reason I thought Sin City was a Buena Vista title, it's been seen on the coming soon previews...or am I just crazy? Also I'm not up to date about the technicalities about who own which of the Scary Movies, but Scary Movie 1 is coming out on Blu 10/23.

I wouldn't mind
Jurrasic Park(s)
E.T.
HalfBaked
Dazed & Confused

Idono why, but I'm having trouble thinking of newwer Universal films I like. I know they exist, but my brain has this blu filter goin on now a days.

I would buy the 4 titles you listed vertically....but I'm not a Heroe's fan or Fear & Loathing in Las vegas...

and I agree...Universal appears to be way past their prime as my DVD collection which was over 200....I only had about a handful of Universal movies...
