Wow. Overdramatic much?

I do not see anything in that article that says Titanic is not coming to Blu-ray Disc. I suspect that James Cameron's schedule is far too tight to be approving releases on a frequent basis.

Ten to one it gets released in 2012, for the centennial anniversary of the sinking.

He's making a 3D version of it to be released theatrically in 2012, so I'm guessing we'll see it around that time.

Wouldn't make any sense not to release Titanic on Blu-ray. It's guaranteed to sell like hotcakes. That said, I'd rather have a new version of The Terminator with commentary from Cameron.

Titanic blu ray release in 3D. What about the regular 2D version?

All 3DBDs are going to include 2D versions of the film by default so if it gets released on 3DBD only don't worry.

The all mighty dollar.

Release a 2D vanilla release first to cash in on the home video excitement.

Release a 3D special edition (with 2D backwards compatibility) around the holidays to push 3D TVs and BD players.

Yes, you read that right: the 2D only release is going to be movie-only or hopefully trailer-only while the 3D/2D release is the special edition with all the extras.
