Default Monitor Audio / Custom TV stand 3/15/10

So I posted up my speakers a little while back due to early excitement, but now as of Saturday night I finally got my Amish made custom designed TV stand and coffee table.

A few details about it.

The stand is Character Cherry with everything designed for my current setup.
The center was made to fit, as well as the stand of my samsung 850 series to sit down in the step down area. it weighs i dunno, 400 pounds of solid cherry lol. Tinted glass was used in the doors, and I have the center door and accoustical fabric to cover it if I dont wanna see the center.

The table is the same wood/stain and pretty basic but thick as well.

My speakers are Monitor Audio RX series in Piano Black Rx8's up front, and the sides are rears to match.

New couch too! got me a la-z-boy couch which i know am obsessed with almost more than rest lol

Here are the pictures!

The Amish sure know how to make furniture I'll say that. That is a beautiful stand. The speakers are pretty impressive looking also. How long did you have to wait for it?

Thank you!

The stand I took order on January 12th and took delivery on it March 12th.

8 weeks basically. But that included drawing it up, making it and then creating a matching coffee table.

Very Nice entertainment center! Truely unique and one of a kind. You're giving me an idea for when I upgrade my entertainment center as I am running out of space-fast

Awesome custom TV stand!
On wheels? Inside depth? Removable rear panel? Ventilation?

I have around 5 or 6 (1.5") holes in each bottom, as well as holes in the rear.

The legs keep it off the ground, which allows the air flow. it looks arched in the middle, but in reality the entire thing is off the ground, just has the skirt in the front.

The rear panel is held on with 6 screws, but could be removed.

The Amish guys did exactly what i told them, so I am not angry they did not do the few small things that may be a deal breaker for others. They dont think like HIFI owners ahah they think we are crazy for needing this thing in the first place ahah

I have the other pictures of the plans as well, but my plans and the stand are a little different thanks to a few changes I made in mid build (basically to shave a few bucks)

Im lost lol what does that mean naim stack ?

I thought about getting the tops done with inlaid glass, but later on i didnt want the added reflection from the TV or lighting around it.

The stand looks fantastic, we've had the Amish build some furniture for us and it turned out amazing, they do great work. The only thing I would be concerned about as far as the stand goes is if you ever upgrade your TV and it has a different sized stand that won't fit in the stand.

WOW great setup Petey2133. That coffee table and TV stand is gorgeous and that is what you call first class craftmanship. So do you know someone in the Amish community that you asked to make the stand and coffee table for you? I would love to have that type of quality furniture. Great setup a 10 out of 10.

Sorry Petey, a Naim Stack looks a little something like this

So if I were to get that many components on top of what I already have then I could use a custom AV rack/entertainment center
