As a longtime fan of the series, I should hate these movies and yes, there's a lot wrong with them. But despite all its problems, I still surprisingly enjoyed the first film for what it was and consider it a guilty pleasure. And I went to see this one today and also quite enjoyed it, even more than the first in fact. I will likely be in the minority, but I'll be sure to pick this up.

I just have to say I really like how Walmart's doing in-store preorders. Instead of an empty case they have the original dvd, movie money for the second, and the preorder. Second, I hate these types of movies with the talking animal reboot, but I did enjoy the smurfs. Maybe because it was Neil Patrick Harris

I wonder if the Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D releases of The Smurfs 2 will have the film presented in a 1.78:1 aspect ratio like the first film? I know for a fact the Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D releases of the first film presented it in 1.78:1 instead of 1.85:1; will be they be doing the same thing with the sequel? Or will it be left in 1.85:1 like Arthur Christmas and Hotel Transylvania?

Does anyone know if The Legend of Smurfy Hollow will come on a separate disc? I read on its Bluray page that The Smurfs 2 is a 2 disc set. But does anyone know if the mini movie will be a 3rd disc? Or just an extra on the Bluray?

Just watched this and wow, was there even a plot?

It made me laugh a few times but not as good as the first. I'll pass on the blu.

The back cover doesn't list a music video but maybe it will be part of the second screen feature.

So was able to get one of my local targets to PM Smurfs 2 3D combo with an Amazon vendor for $22.99 plus use cartwheel for extra 10% off for a total of just over $20.69.

Kind of lucked out after I tried to PM Walmart's advertised price of $24.96. Problem is I didn't have a copy of the Ad with me and figured I would PM the website. They looked it up and it came up at $50.98!!!!!! Then checked walmart mobile and they listed it at $28.96.

Had the lady check Amazon which was $29.99 but there was another listing for $22.29. Since it had an Amazon prime logo next to it, she gave me that price. Always seem to have better luck customer service wise when my 1 year old is with me. LOL.

Did anyone else buy this? Such a quiet thread for a new 3D release.

has anyone experienced any video problems during the blu ray? i noticed on many occasions that it would seem alomst like it would jump, kind of like old film used to? has anyone had this or similar problems, do i have a bad disc or does a new firmware need to come out, i have the latest firmware for my player, i habe the lg bd530 3d blu ray player. this is the 1st issue i have seen with this player, so it could be a disc issue

But despite all its problems, I still surprisingly enjoyed the first film for what it was and consider it a guilty pleasure.
